Singapore Itinerary: How to Spend 3 Days

Singapore is compact, clean, and incredibly easy to navigate. The MRT reaches almost everywhere, so buy an EZ-Link or contactless card and tap through. Plan around afternoon heat with indoor breaks.

Day 1: Marina Bay

Start at the Gardens by the Bay, wandering the cooled conservatory domes and the towering Supertree grove. Walk the waterfront to the Merlion statue and across the DNA-shaped Helix Bridge. In the afternoon, explore the ArtScience Museum or shop the malls around the bay. As night falls, watch the free light-and-water show over the water, then ride up to a rooftop for skyline views. For dinner, try chilli crab with fried mantou buns at a seafood restaurant.

Day 2: Hawker Centres and Chinatown

Eat your way through a classic hawker centre this morning: Hainanese chicken rice, char kway teow fried noodles, and a strong kopi coffee. Explore Chinatown's temples, heritage shophouses, and craft stalls. In the afternoon, visit the colorful Sri Mariamman temple and the Buddha Tooth Relic temple. Hawker stalls sometimes label dishes only in Chinese or Malay, so photographing the sign to translate helps you order with confidence. End in Little India for a banana-leaf curry dinner.

Day 3: Sentosa

Take the monorail or a scenic cable car to Sentosa island. Spend the morning at the beaches or the aquarium, then choose a theme park or the luge for the afternoon. Families love the wildlife attractions, while couples may prefer the cable-car skyline views. Head back to the mainland for a farewell meal of laksa, a rich coconut-curry noodle soup, or satay grilled over coals at a night market.

Quick Tips

  • Tap water is safe to drink everywhere.
  • Eating and drinking on the MRT is fined.
  • Carry a light layer; indoor air-con runs cold.
  • Hawker centres are cheapest and best for local food.

Three days showcase Singapore's futuristic skyline, multicultural neighborhoods, and world-class hawker food, a smooth and delicious first visit.
